PSA Resources
A Public Service Announcement (PSA) video is a message shared with the public, often free of charge, aimed at raising awareness about a specific issue or promoting a particular cause, rather than selling a product or service. For example, a utility company might do a series of PSA’s on the subject of saving energy in the home.

ICE: Article Review - iPad Activity
Reading current media arts articles help you to stay up on what is happening the industry!
Read any article or news piece related to art and/ or technology and write a one paragraph summary with a second opinion paragraph. This is to be completed in class via student iPads, accessing online article resources, like TweenTribune or other news/media sites. You will always need to give your source information, which is called out in the Article Review Template or seen in the sample below.
Type up in the Doc template and share with Mrs. Champlin at brandy_champlin@myfsd.org.
EFFECTIVE SUMMARY WRITING TIPS:
Read with who, what, when, where, why and how questions in mind.
Consider closing the article before you start writing the paragraphs to ensure:
You do not rewrite the original piece.
You use your own wording. No plagiarism or paraphrasing!
Summarize all central/main ideas of the original piece.
Do not put in your opinion of the issue or topic discussed in the summary paragraph. Save your opinions and experiences as they relate to the article topic for the second paragraph after the summary.
