Writing

Writing standards help equip students with the ability to plan, revise, edit, and publish writing in various writing genres: opinion/argumentative, informative/explanatory, and narratives. The standards also address the importance of the writing-reading connection by requiring students to draw upon and write about evidence from literary and informational texts, while also incorporating research skills.
