Clinic Manager
Advanced Physiotherapist & Senior Lecturer
Emily completed her Physiotherapy degree at Sheffield Hallam University. Following this, she worked in a range of different NHS specialities, before specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (MSK).
Before working at SHU, Emily was an Advanced MSK Physiotherapist in the NHS and worked in private practice. Emily has also previously worked within Professional Rugby League.
Emily has vast experience of working with chronic pain, and has attended Professor Peter O'Sullivan's Congitive Functional Therapy Course, which she uses in practice.
Emily enjoys both road and trail running and recently ran London Marathon. She enjoys weight training and is passionate about helping people to feel confident in doing this too!
Michael Eachus
Specialist Physiotherapist
Michael completed his Physiotherapy degree at Salford University.
He started his career in the NHS and after completing junior rotations, specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (MSK) before moving to SHU.
Michael is also doing his MSc while working in the clinic.
Michael has worked within professional football for a number of years and currently works for Manchester City Football Club's academy alongside his role at SHU. He has also done his ITMIFF Level 4 pitchside qualification.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys running as is currently training for his first marathon!
Michael provides pitchside cover for out BUCS sports events.
Katie Karran
Advanced Physiotherapist & Lecturer
Katie graduated from Keele University in 2006.
After 18 years as a Physiotherapist, she has gained a vast repertoire of skills working with a wide variety people and clinical areas. These experiences consist of both NHS, Private and military rehabilitation, including complex Orthopaedic Trauma, Brain/Spinal Injury, Neurological conditions and Chronic pain.
Katie has developed a specialist interest in the assessment and management of Facial Palsy. She is a member of Facial Therapists Specialists International (FTSI). She treats conditions such as facial trauma, head/neck surgery, Bells Palsy, Ramsay Hunt Syndrome and complications from Synkinesis.
Katie is a keen cyclist and loves a pub quiz!
