Great news, Riley now has her memories back! With that, she was also able to gain new core memories. Now that she feels like her life is back on track, she decides that she wants to go back to playing hockey. Riley is also able to adapt to her new environment in San Francisco. On the other hand, Joy was also able to learn that she must not take control of all of Riley’s emotions, but she must also share the role with the other emotions, so that Riley can achieve a new form of happiness. The emotions are now all able to work together, in order for Riley to be more knowledgeable in the emotional aspect.
Through all the hardships and obstacles that Riley and the emotions had to go through, they are finally at a point in which they are all happy. Riley is playing hockey (a sport she once loved) and the emotions finally know how to share. It was shared that not only does Riley have emotional characters, but others do as well! This leaves a lasting impact as it shows that each individual may have emotions that may be battling each other, we are not alone. This also brings forward the idea that in order to grow, one needs to go through uncomfortable situations, almost as if it is a right of passage. Even through all that, we are left on a cliffhanger. This shows that there is more to the story and this is only the beginning.
After all, what could go wrong?
