Synopsis:

Adam-Excuse me. Could l get a headset?
Flight attendant--Certainly.
Adam-Thank you.
Adam-Miss?
Flight attendant-I'll be right there, sir.
Friend-Where's your headset?
Adam-She's busy right now, but it's coming.
Friend-For crying out loud. You're missing important plot points.
Adam-Ma'am?
Flight attendant-Could you give me a second, sir?
Adam-Excuse me.
Adam-Could l maybe get that headset, please?
Flight attendant-Do not raise your voice to me, sir.
Adam-I wasn't raising my voice.
Flight attendant-Just calm down.
Adam-I am calm. I just want my headset.
Flight attendant-Our country is going through a difficult time now. If you won't cooperate--
Adam-I don't know where a headset ties into patriotism.
Air martial-Is there a problem here, sir?
Adam-I don't think so.
Air martial-Can you come to the back with me so we can have a talk?
Adam-A talk about what? There's not a problem. The stewardess just keeps--
Air martial--Flight attendant.
Adam-The flight attendant keeps ignoring me when--
Air martial-Calm down.
Adam-I am calm. What is it with you people?
Air martial-"You people"?
Adam-Now wait a minute. I don't mean you people. I mean you people.
Air martial-I will not tolerate any racist behavior on the plane. This is a difficult time for our country.
Adam-I'm not a racist. I just want to watch the movie.
Air martial-I'm only going to say this one more time, sir. Calm down.
Adam-I'm calm!
Priest-may I come in?
Nun-A third party would be required.
Priest-Yeah. What was Donald's mother doing here?
Nun-We were having a chat.
Priest-About what?
Nun-A third party would truly be required, Father.
Priest-No, Sister. No third party! Me and you are due for a talk! You have to stop this campaign against me.
Nun-You can stop it at any time.
Priest-How?
Nun-Confess and resign.
Priest-You are attempting to destroy my reputation!
Nun-Who keeps opening my window? What are you doing in this school?
Priest-I'm trying to do good.
Nun-Even more to the point, what are you doing in the priesthood?
Nun-You are single-handedly holding this school and this parish back.
Priest-From what?
Nun-Progressive education and a welcoming church. You can't distract me, Father.
Priest-This is not about my behavior,it's about yours.
No, this is about your unfounded suspicions.
Nun-That's right. I have suspicions.
Priest-Just leave that. It's not important.
Nun-I will decide what's important.
Priest-Why do you suspect me? What have I done?
Nun-You gave that boy wine, and you let him take the blame.
Priest-That's completely untrue. Did you talk to Mr. McGuinn?
Nun-All McGuinn knows is that the boy drank wine. He doesn't know how he came to drink it.
Priest-Did his mother have something to add to that?
Nun-No.
Priest-So that's it.
Nun-I am not satisfied.
Priest-Ask the boy then.
Nun-He'd protect you.
Priest-Why would he do that?
Nun-Because you have seduced him.
Priest-You're insane. You've got it in your head that I corrupted this child after giving him wine, and nothing I say will change that.
Nun-That's right.
Priest-But this has nothing to do with the wine.
Nun-Not really.
Priest-You've had a fundamental mistrust of me before this incident. It was you that warned Sister James to be on the lookout, wasn't it
Nun-That's true.
Priest-So you admit it!
Nun-Certainly.
Priest-Why?
Nun-I know people.
Priest-That's not good enough.
Synopsis:
In 1964 the winds of change are sweeping through Sister Aloysius' (Meryl Streep) St. Nicholas school. Father Flynn (Philip Seymour Hoffman), a charismatic priest, is advocating reform of the school's strict customs, and the first black student has just been accepted. When a fellow nun (Amy Adams) tells Sister Aloysius that Father Flynn may be paying too much personal attention to the student, Sister Aloysius begins a personal crusade against the priest -- despite her lack of evidence.
Synopsis:
Jaime Escalante is a mathematics teacher in a school in a Hispanic neighbourhood. Convinced that his students have potential, he adopts unconventional teaching methods help gang members and no-hopers pass the rigorous Advanced Placement exam in calculus.
Teacher-I'd just like to see proof of wrongdoing. I'd like to see the tests.
Detective on left-There is no proof of wrongdoing, only a suspicion of cheating.
Teacher-In this country one is innocent until proven guilty. Not vice versa.
Detective on left-If you are so confident of their abilities, encourage them to retest.
Teacher-Why?
Detective on left-If they don't,everyone will assume they cheated.
Teacher-Everyone will assume they cheated if they do.I want to see the test!
Detective on left-Mr. Escalante, we are psychometricians, thorough to the point of boring. We're not out to get anyone.
Teacher-Wait.A situation of two students cheating is one thing. This blanket accusation is saying there was a conspiracy.
Every conspiracy has a leader.Who better qualify to be the leader than the teacher?
Detective on left-Nobody is accusing you here of anything.
Not only me, the school, the parents,
the entire community!
Detective on left-Scores this high would be questioned regardless of the school.
Teacher-But if this was Beverly Hills High they wouldn't have sent you to investigate.
Detective on left-I hope you're not insinuating that we haven't earned our position here.No one has given me a damn thing.
You are letting your emotions get the best of you.
Teacher-If no one gave you a damn thing, you shouldn't take away from my kids!
Detective on left-The identity of the students
was concealed until it was determined that irregularities existed.
Teacher-No one would have questioned the scores if my kids didn't have Spanish surnames..and come from barrio schools!
Detective on left-All right. We've explained our position
and heard your complaints, but now..our conversation is over.
Teacher-Something is going on that nobody is talking about. And you know what it is!
Detective on left-No one has the right to accuse meof racism. No one has that right!
Teacher-I know well how to spell discrimination! I thought this was over long ago. Why do this to my kids?
Detective on Right-There are two kinds of racism, Mr. Escalante. Singling out a group who are members of a minority...and not singling out a group who are members of a minority.
Teacher-My kids could teach you a thing or two, Johnny!
Detective on Right-I'll call security if you can't control yourself.
Teacher-Do it!You didn't prove anything. My kids didn't do anything!I'll prove you guys wrong.
Detective on left-I hope you do because this is not between you and me.
Teacher-Maybe not.But if I catch you on the street,I'll kick the shit out of you
