Everyone at Mortlach Primary said an emotional farewell, congratulations and thank you to Mrs Baillie as she retired on the last day of Term 3. Mrs Baillie has worked at Mortlach Primary School for well over 30 years. Her dedication to the school, enthusiasm and kindness are second to none. Everyone enjoys spending time with Mrs Baillie.
Charlie presented Mrs Baillie with a thank you gift on behalf of all the pupils at Mortlach Primary. Mrs Ingram presented a gift to Mrs Baillie from the Parent Council who wished to thank her as well for her service to the school.
We hope that she enjoys her retirement and pops in to see us all regularly!
As an extra surprise for an extra special lady, Mrs Frew and Mrs Wickert had organised for former Mortlach pupil, Alfie, to come along to the Cozy Coo to play for Mrs Baillie. Staff took Mrs Baillie to the Cozy Coo for a 'cuppa' after her final shift at Mortlach, something with she loves to do. She was definitely surprised to hear the pipes as she approached the cafe. Mrs Baillie thought that she would slip away into retirement quietly, however everyone at Mortlach knew that would not be possible!
We also said good bye to Miss Kosyn, who has been teaching in our P2/3 class on a Thursday and Friday this term. We thank Miss Kosyn for all her hardwork and support. We hope to see Miss Kosyn back at Mortlach in the future.
