Education must develop every child's personality, talents and abilities to the full.
It must encourage the child's respect for their parents, their own and other cultures and the environment.

We have consulted twice on establishing and revisiting our school vision and values in 2016 and 2017 to ensure they reflected our school life and work. Last session following feedback from our community we decided to launch a new vision to reflect upon our current school context.
In Bishopmill we have access to a wonderful outdoor playground and are surrounded by open green spaces and Spynie and Oakwood woodland areas. We have access to Elgin Academy's outdoor learning area too which we visit as often as we can. We are at present developing our own outdoor classroom.
We have a diverse catchment of pupils with our SIMD index ranging between 3 and 10 and 17.5% of our pupils coming from military families who transition to Bishopmill from all over the world.
A number of pupils have family members who work away from home too and our pupils are supported in curriculum groups, nurturing activities, Home School Link and collaborative work with other agencies.
