PLEASE NOTE: If this is your first time logging into EDS, start here before moving to Step 1 below.
(1) New in 2025: We all have access to the Bundled Curriculum, which is both SEL and Social Communication Skills in one platform, and there is support for using EDS in MTSS at Tiers 1, 2, & 3. Please follow training videos in your account to access the appropriate onboarding and training.
Once you are in your "Teacher Training" link, you can choose which implementation you would like to follow. Feel free to do both, but if you are starting with SEL instruction for your classroom then it is best to start there. Once you select SEL, you can choose which grade level band you want to access (pK-5 or 6-12) to review the curriculum. You will see a PDF implementation guide and then videos below to watch. Before you leave this page, please also watch the videos on CASEL 5 and EDS's alignment at the bottom of the page.
You might also want to engage with "Cultivating an SEL Community" to consider how school-wide and collaborative use of EDS can be supported. Also important is "Bridge the Gap" resources on school-family engagement using EDS.
(2) Take a peek at the array of onboarding videos for the following topics under "Navigating though Everyday Speech."
"Creating student profiles"
"Student progress tracking"
"Session planning"
"Creating a playlist"
(3) Get started with the curriculum and lesson planning or go back on do a training on Social Communication if you started with SEL.
TIPS:
I suggest that you either download and save to file on your desktop or print them and assemble them into a folder/binder. This will allow for easy access as you reference the curriculum in your own lesson/unit planning.
6-12 teachers might want to look back at the SEL Everyday: Integrating SEL with Instruction in Secondary Classrooms that was provided to staff at 22-23 Convocation. You might want to use this text to explore how you might embed an SEL lesson into your larger curriculum. Srinivasan does a great job discussing SEL goals and objectives integrated into UbD for content instruction.
Again, if you don't have a copy then reach out to Kim Garrison to get one.
(4) If you try out a lesson and your planning as a team, try out the "Share with Colleagues" button to help with collaborating.
