Moving forward, we will be using Vector to track PDPs. Here is an 8 minute video that covers all the basics you need to know. If you watch the video, you will easily understand how to do this, and the bulleted list below will make perfect sense:-). I am also happy to swing by your school to give you some quick, in person support if you would prefer that.
Please note the following:
For now, teachers should use "Record My Credits" to upload and log PDPs from prior years. This form does not require supervisor/evaluator approval for the credits to be released. A teacher can complete the form, upload any documentation, and the PDPs will be released. We are doing this as a catch up for this year. In the future, this will be used primarily for teachers to log non-district based PD that has resulted in a certificate or other evidence confirming credits.
Now and moving forward, teachers can use "External PD Request" for self study or asynchronous work that will generally require supervisor approval to 'count' for PDPs or if a teacher is looking to get approval in advance to attend a webinar or conference. This form requires supervisor approval in order for the credits to be released--that is the primary difference between this form and the "Record My Credits" form.
For sessions like the Mandated Reporting and Keynote on October 9, you must "Confirm Attendance" in order to get the PDPs released. If you were absent and did not attend, and you were not already removed from the session, you should "unenroll" from the session to remove it from your activities.
NSTA and the first Bard Workshops are now available for enrollment in Vector. If you are unable to enroll in Vector, you can email me and I can add you to the list.
For NSTA, we have 22 seats for science teachers.
For Bard, we have 16 seats in Day 1: Intro to Writing and Thinking, and 16 seats in Day 2: The Art of Radical Revision. For this series of workshops, teachers can either sign up for one or both days, and we are prioritizing interested teachers who are new to Bard. Please REQUEST ENROLLMENT for one or both of these sessions on Vector by October 21 so we can apply the criteria and make the roster ASAP.
Again, for Bard, we will offer Writing in the Age of AI in January. This course will prioritize last year's participants and only include teachers who have attended a prior Bard workshop here or elsewhere. Enrollment for this will open in a few weeks.

This is an MVYPS directed day that supports system-wide professional learning opportunities on topics that stem from the Superintendent's focal areas for 2025-2026, as well as building-directed learning for school teams. For 2025-2026, the priority for this day will be for the HMH Into Reading initiative system-wide as well as building-based initiatives. Staff do have opportunities to also participate in the Cape Cod Collaborative program.
ESPs are not required to participate in this day, unless an arrangement has been made with the building principal and/or program director.
