Each year, the College Board evaluates tens of thousands of AP Studio Art portfolios from students around the world. Every portfolio must show not only technical skill, but also original thinking, visual exploration, and a clear artistic voice.
Students spend months developing their ideas, experimenting, refining work, and documenting their process. Their portfolios include finished artworks and written reflections that explain their intent and creative decisions. It’s a rigorous, college-level experience — and success requires both craftsmanship and concept.
