Danielle Bettencourt - President

Hi Spangler Families! I'm so happy to join you for a second year in PTA. I was a Spangler Spartan from K-6th grade, growing up in Milpitas; and love being back to volunteer while my kids attend the school. I had no idea when I started volunteering with PTA how much I would enjoy supporting the students, staff and overall school experience and I'm so thankful I got involved when I did. I can't wait to help host the most amazing programs and fundraisers for Spangler with your help! PTA is all about teamwork and we can do so much when we work together.

Outside of work and volunteering, our family loves to get outdoors and explore the Bay Area. I have enjoyed meeting so many of you through the our organization and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together this coming year!

Elodia Muñoz- Treasurer

I'm back for a 3rd & final term with our PTA as my bonus daughter will move on to middle school after this year. I'm so excited to see how much the PTA has grown. I love being a part of a team that seeks to make a positive impact. We have a great community of parents & teachers at Spangler that make that happen. I hope to encourage more parents to get involved in whatever makes them comfortable.

Outside of Spangler, I work in HR and love the beach or outdoor adventures with my family. And food. I love trying new food.

Bhavna Gurmukhani - Secretary 

My name is Bhavna Gurmukhani, a mom of 2 active Spartan boys. I am in excited anticipation to be part of the PTA family so dedicated to supporting our students, teachers and school community. I have always loved volunteering in my school days and continue to be an active volunteer in various events at Spangler.

Aside from my school participation, I work as a software professional. I am a yoga enthusiast and enjoy spending quality time with my beautiful family.

Shravan Panyam - Executive Vice President 

A joyful parent to two young children and a strong supporter of complete early childhood development, Shravan is passionate about serving students, faculty, and staff. He approaches his responsibilities as PTA Vice President with one premise: each child are already reaching for their greatness and are learning how to express that greatness and produce great results. These results are inclusive of themselves, their teachers, peers, families, and communities.

Vu Nguyen - VP of Fundraising

Hi, I'm Vu Nguyen, the new VP of Fundraising for Spangler PTA. I have kids at both Spangler Elementary and Thomas Russell Middle School, and I'm excited to support our school community. With a background in support leadership in the SaaS industry, I'm passionate about building strong, efficient teams—and I look forward to bringing that energy to our fundraising efforts this year.

Kankana Saxena - Parliamentarian

Hello Spangler Families! I'm excited to be part of the PTA for another year and to continue supporting our amazing students, teachers, and community. I'm a freelance photographer and videographer, and I've also been running a food blog for over a decade.

My son is in 6th grade, so this will be our final year at Spangler. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, sharing, and growing together!

Nidhi Jain - Historian

Hello! My name is Nidhi Jain, and I’m excited to serve as the Historian Custodian on the PTA board this year. I’m a proud parent of a 3rd-grade student at Spangler, as well as a lively 3-year-old.

I hold a Master’s degree in Finance and bring strong organizational and record-keeping skills to this role. I’m passionate about supporting our school community and committed to capturing and preserving the special moments and accomplishments of this school year.

I look forward to working closely with fellow parents and staff to help make this year a meaningful and memorable one for all our students!

I have been in Accounting for over 25 years and proud mom of a Spangler 1st grade student.

I like to cook, bake and hang out with family.
