Mathemathical Olympaids for Elementary and Middle School

Since 1979 Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMSⓇ) has been providing challenging and thought
provoking mathematical problems designed to strengthen student’s mathematical skills. Participants in Math Olympiads are located in all fifty states, three US territories and in thirty foreign countries. In all, this year we have 4,061 teams and approximately 90,000 participants.
Spangler PTA hosts two teams each year to ensure as many students can participate as are interested. Training and tests are held throughout the year. Details shared via parent square and parents of enrolled students are emailed directly with details.

2023-2024 is the first time our school enrolled in this program with one team.

2025-2026 recap:
Several students from Spangler Elementary School participated in the Math Olympiads program. PTA Team includes Smruti Lele as chairperson, parent coach volunteers Anjul Gurmukhani and Preetha Vinod, test day volunteers Bhavna Gurmukhani and Shati Sen.
Among 70,000 students worldwide participated in the Elementary Division, our school got ranked top 10%. There were following categories in which multiple students received awards:
