Spangler Elementary PTA membership is maintained through TOTEM.
There is an annual fee of $11 that needs to be renewed every year for you to be considered an active member in our PTA.
With your active TOTEM membership, you also have the power of voting in PTA meetings - we vote on all decisions regarding allocation and distribution of funds, what programs and events we will host, and who will lead and represent our organization.
50% of this fee goes to school fundraising & 50% goes up the channels to Milpitas PTA, California PTA, and National PTA.
California PTA membership runs from July 1 - June 30 so be sure to enroll early to benefit from membership all school year.
In CA, there is a grace period from expiration through October 31, so renewal can happen up to the end of October while still having all the voting rights until this point.
It is truly a team effort and all parents, teachers, and community members should join!

You can either drop the form with cash/check in school office addressed to PTA or send it with your child.
Your donation helps Spangler PTA support student programs, enrichment activities, classroom resources, school events, and staff appreciation.
Every contribution—big or small—helps create more opportunities for our students and strengthens the Spangler community.

Many employers offer programs that can make your support for Spangler Elementary PTA go even further.
Corporate Gift Matching
If you make a donation to Spangler PTA, your employer may match your contribution—sometimes dollar for dollar or even more.
A $50 donation could become $100, and a $100 donation could become $200, at no additional cost to you.
Dollars for Doers
Some companies also reward employees for volunteering through programs commonly called Dollars for Doers or Volunteer Grants.
When you volunteer your time at Spangler—for example at a PTA event, Book Fair, Spartan Sprint, student program, or other approved activity—your employer may make a financial donation to the PTA based on the number of hours you volunteer.
That means your time can help Spangler twice:
You volunteer your time + your employer donates to the PTA.
