Work Permits |Career Tips
Have you been hired or offered a job? Then you'll need a work permit!
Applications MUST FIRST be filled out by the student, parent/guardian, AND employer before it can be submitted for processing. The College & Career Specialist is the last person to get the application.
Work Permit Process
Completed work permit applications MUST be submitted physically on campus to the College & Career Center! Processing is 2-3 days!
REQUIRED information on application:
Student information & signature
Student ID #
Social Security Number
Parent signature
Employer section completed BY THE EMPLOYER with an original signature (digital / e-signatures accepted)
Work permit renewals REQUIRE a new work permit application
Work permits through the summer expire five (5) days after the start of the new school year
Work permits will NOT be processed electronically
If you change jobs and/or obtain a second job, you will need to submit a new work permit application specific to that employer. You must have a separate work permit for each different employer.
Work Permit Policy
Students under the age of 18 years old MUST obtain a work permit.
If you are 17 WITH a high school diploma, you DO NOT need a work permit.

- If the above requirements are not met, the student may receive a short term work permit until the next grading period (reviewed on case-by-case basis).
Work permit applications are available in the CCC (college & career center / J15) or you can print a work permit application at home.
