Volunteers help us prepare a variety of resources for our RAFT Store and educational programs, including helping to prepare and package STEAM Project Kits. Tasks include anything from counting and bundling certain materials to cutting other items. In some cases volunteers will be using minor power tools. No prior experience is needed.

Must be able to sit for a minimum of 2 hours
Need to have dexterity with hands (for sorting, counting, separating, etc)

For your safety, you will be required to wear closed toe shoes.
We also ask that if you are sick or not feeling well, please stay home.

Public Art Selection Committee Members
Volunteers ages 14+ who like art are invited to apply to serve on public art selection committees
Public art selection committees review artist portfolios and select a small number of artists to be invited to submit designs for specific projects, ranging from small utility boxes to large projects on public property. Then, when designs are received, the committee reconvenes to rank the submissions and make a recommendation on which design they would choose for the site.
These are short-term volunteer projects, usually consisting of two evening meetings of 2-3 hours each. Apply online if interested!
Volunteer Translators are still needed to help translate and proofread documents. We have an immediate need for volunteers who can read and write Vietnamese and Spanish. This can be done through email. Contact tmclane@ci.milpitas.ca.gov.
Ivy Park at Milpitas, Assisted Living
Ivy Park is a senior living facility, in need of volunteers to work with their memory care residents. The residents that students would be working with have been diagnosed with either dementia or Alzheimer’s and live at their facility full-time. Ivy Parks main focus for the volunteers would be one-on-one interaction through reading or playing board games. With the goal being to foster relationships with youth, as many of them don’t have young family members come to visit often. This is also a great opportunity for students who have special talents, such as playing an instrument, to perform for a friendly and welcoming audience. If students are interested in volunteering they can reach out to:
Audrey Rubio
Email: arubio@ivyliving.com

Mission Statement: Remember the ToothFairy is a student-led non profit organization working to instill healthy brushing habits in children through early education. Our team understands that poor oral health goes beyond cavities and gum diseases. In fact, children who have bad brushing habits often miss school more and receive lower grades than children that don’t. Through our service events, fundraisers, chapters, and partnerships, Remember the ToothFairy is ensuring a future with healthy smiles. From our members to our volunteers, we are devoted to the mission of helping as many children as we can.
For more information visit the Remember the ToothFairy website.
