Description: The mission of the Milpitas High School (MHS) Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is to encourage and enrich the educational experience of its students. It is with pride that we award these scholarships to encourage the furthering of their education beyond high school. These awards are given to students who have shown the determination to enrich themselves with their high school experience and who give of themselves to their community.
Milpitas Teachers Association (MTA) Scholarship | $1,000 (two offered)

Description: MTA is proud to offer two (2) scholarships of $1000 each to graduating seniors of Milpitas High School’s Class of 2024 who will be attending college in the fall. These scholarships will be awarded based on the applicant’s financial need, community service, school involvement, and priority will be given to students expressing the desire to pursue a career in education, or in a field specifically benefitting children.

Description: Sunnyhills Neighborhood Association (SNA) is a strong supporter of education, and especially of educational pathways in our community. The SNA x SJCC College Scholarship is available to a student who is completing either SJCC Milpitas Dual Enrollment courses or in the Middle College program; and who will attend San Jose City or Evergreen Valley College following graduation.
Sunnyhills Neighborhood Association Scholarship | $1,000

Description: The Sunnyhills Neighborhood Association (SNA) recognizes the importance of higher education to the residents of our community, and the burden of it’s expense, especially for those in financial need. The SNA Scholarship is available to members of the senior class of Milpitas High School (MHS) and Calaveras Hills High School (CHHS) who will attend college following graduation and are from the Sunnyhills area (from the Milpitas/Fremont border to Jacklin Blvd, between Milpitas Blvd. and I-680). Priority will be given to those who can establish financial need and those who have volunteered or performed community service for SNA. The scholarship shall be presented at the Milpitas High School Senior Awards ceremony or the Calaveras Hills High School Awards Night.
Milpitas Youth Scholarship Program | $: Varied/Multiple

Description: Allows low-income Milpitas resident youth to submit a request for funding assistance for academic improvement, community service, participation in the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC), and participation in youth sports.
YAC Community Service Scholarship | $750 (three offered)

Description: The Youth Advisory Commission scholarship is available to high school juniors or seniors from Milpitas that showcase a history of community service beyond any school requirements, demonstrate exemplary leadership, and is a role model in his/her community. Three - $750 scholarships will be available for those that meet the following criteria:
Must be a high school junior or senior and a resident of Milpitas.
Must demonstrate a history of community service beyond any school requirements.
Must demonstrate exemplary leadership and be a role model in his/her community.
Must complete the scholarship questionnaire, consisting of three short essay question.
Must possess a minimum 2.5 accumulative, weighted GPA. An official school transcript is required.
One (1) letter of recommendation, including contact information, from a teacher, counselor, or organization leader.

Lillian Gong-Guy Memorial Scholarship | $1,000 - $2,000

Description: In tribute to our late co-founder, Lillian Gong-Guy, who dedicated her life to CHCP and many other community projects, we award the Lillian Gong-Guy Memorial Scholarship to Santa Clara County high school seniors of Chinese descent who demonstrate academic achievement, as well as involvement in their school and community. Scholarships are awarded to exemplary seniors based on academic achievement and a demonstration of community involvement and service.

Northern CA Cherry Blossom Community Service Scholarship | $2,500 (two offered)

Description: Students will be awarded scholarships on the basis of commitment to their community, written essays, academic achievement and personal character. Applicant must be a graduating senior of Japanese American descent at an accredited high school with a grade point average of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. Applicants should be actively involved in her/his/their local community.
Ivy & Pearls Foundation Scholarship | up to $3,000

Description: Established in 2011, the Honmyo Nguyen Family Trust Scholarship seeks to provide scholarship support to studentswho are committed to addressing the most challenging problems and improving the quality of life within the Silicon Valley. Students must reside in Santa Clara County and plan to attend a four-year California public university full-time. These scholarships are designed to recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence, financial need and leadership qualities as evidenced by school and community activities.
Tzu Chi Scholars 2024 | $1,500

Description: The Tzu Chi USA Scholarship is a scholarship program funded by Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation to recognize and provide financial assistance to outstanding college-bound high school graduates and continuing undergraduate students who were prior recipients in selected areas of the United States. Tzu Chi USA Scholars are selected on the basis of their financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement.
SchoolHouse Connection Scholarship Program | $2,500
