Overview of Services

The College and Career Center (CCC) is here to support you in exploring college and career options after high school. The CCC can also help with finding information about colleges, financial aid, and scholarships.

The CCC works closely with the Academic Counselors. If you have specific questions regarding your class schedule, enrollment at a Community College, or anything else that goes on your high school transcript, your counselor is your first point of contact. Your Academic Counselor is assigned to you according to your last name. Please see the directory below. Appointments can be made at the counseling windows or office before school, during break or lunch and after school.

College Visits

Colleges from all over the country visit MHS to meet prospective students here. The CCC schedules these visits throughout the year, but most of them occur in the Fall semester during our College Month. During College Month, various college reps come out and give a presentation to answer general questions. These events are for 11th and 12th grade students only, and are terrific opportunities to hear about colleges from the admission officers who will read applications from MHS. Juniors and Seniors can attend these presentations by signing up via a Google Form sent out prior to the visits.

Jobs and Work Permits

Locals businesses look to hire students from MHS. There is a job board in the CCC with applications to various local businesses that are hiring. Already have a job and need a work permit? You can find work permit applications on the job board as well or check the Career page for more details.
