Page One Awards

Seniors are nominated in the following areas to compete against students from all schools in the region.  This award is sponsored by the Columbus Ledger Enquirer and winners are announced during a gala at the River Center in the spring.  If interested, please see Mr. Hampel.

STAR Student

Awarded to the SENIOR who is in the top 10 percent of the class at the end of junior year and has the highest SAT score.  The scores must at least meet the national average or above.

The last SAT test date to be considered for STAR Student is the November test date.  Scores after this date will not be considered.

This award is sponsored by the PAGE Foundation.

Fred Kirby Award

Awarded in the spring to the male and female SENIORS who have the highest SAT score in a single test administration.  

This award is sponsored by the Rotary Club of North Columbus.

Governor's Honors Program

The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a residential summer program for gifted and talented students. Students must apply during sophomore and/or junior year. The program offers instruction that provides students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment necessary to become the next generation of global critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders. 

GHP is held in the mid-summer months of June-July as a residential educational experience on a college or university campus.
