LCES PTO Updates

Let us all welcome the 2024-2026 LCES PTO board officers!

Join us at the PTO next board meeting on May 13th at 5:30pm for their induction and to recognize the 2022-2024 board members.

LCES PTO has formed a committee to help with:
- Teacher Appreciation Week: May 6-10th
- If you would like to help with this committee please email lyoncountyschoolspto@gmail.com
- This committee is also looking for monetary and gift card donations. Please reach out to PTO to help.
- Would you be willing to show your appreciation for teachers and staff by donating an item on the list? Or the amount of money to fund the item? Needed by Thursday, May 2nd. Cash, Check to LCES PTO, or PayPal to Lyon County Schools PTO.

****LCES PTO T-Shirt Design Competition....

Congratulations 4th grader Braska Whittington! A panel of judges determined your design would be on the 2024-2025 Lyon County Elementary School PTO TShirt!

Order forms are coming home this week in your child’s backpack.

Community, if you would like one please let us know by May 1.

We will help get a TShirt in your hands by May 16th (last day of school).

***If you won a bid at the 2024 Experience Auction and have not heard from or scheduled the donation experience, please contact the donor again or PTO at lyoncountyschoolspto@gmail.com and we can help you.

***Talk with your kiddos about their behavior on our buses. Our children need to ride to school quietly and calmly. Bus drivers need to focus their attention on driving not redirecting student behavior. We as parents know how difficult it can be to drive with distractions in the carseats behind us; we as parents need to remind our children how to act on a bus to and from school.

***Talk with your child's teacher. Do they need any supplies for their classroom? April and May are months when classrooms supplies are low. Let us help our children learn the best they can by helping to provide the needed supplies.

Online registration for 2024-2025 school year for all LC students opened and will close April 30th. This is a VERY important task to do. This helps our schools plan for next year, tremendously!

KSA state testing in grades 3 through 5th April 29th- May 10th. Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest, a great breakfast, and kind words before the day begins!

Please reture your library books. Start searching those bookshelves, backpacks, and all places where books can be found around the house and in the car!

Interested in Summer Care at LCES? Thursday, May 2. Summer Care Parent Orientation, 5:30pm in the cafeteria. Must attend to secure a spot for the summer.
