• Past PTO Secretary, Lauren Henderson who is a Program Administrator at Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Corrections, reflected on her time saying, "It was an honor to serve on the PTO board. I absolutely loved having the opportunity to organize events and fundraisers for our children and for the LCES teachers and staff!" Lauren continues to serve LCES PTO as the Woot-Woot Wagon committee lead.

• Our next event is Read-Across-America Day!  Many guest readers have signed-up to read.  We appreciate you!  If you have signed-up, the classroom teacher will be emailing you soon to schedule a time that fits your schedule and the classroom.   If the classroom teacher has yet to contact you please let LCES PTO know and we will get you in contact with the classroom teacher:) 

• LCES PTO has formed two committees to help with:

  • 1) Teacher Lounge Makeover: April 1-5th

  • 2) Teacher Appreciation Week: May 6-10th

  • If you would like to help with either one of these committees please email  lyoncountyschoolspto@gmail.com 

  • Our first meeting is Tuesday, March 5th at 5:45-6:30pm at the Lee S Jones playground.

****Build-a-Lyon flyers are going home this week!  Payments are due March 14th!

• STEM teacher, Ms. T, is collecting water bottles for an upcoming STEM experiment

• LCS classes will be IN-SESSION Friday, March 15th
