Subcommittee and Workgroup Meetings

Sex Trafficking Prevention & Public Awareness Subcommittee

We are taking a holistic approach to prevention, looking at the response as a system, and holding workgroups based on the spectrum of prevention.

Our next open prevention subcommittee meeting is May 16, 2019.

If you are interested in joining this subcommittee or a workgroup, please contact

Legislative Workgroup

The legislative workgroup meets periodically when there is legislation to review, or annually to develop legislative concepts that would help our partners (law enforcement, prosecution, and victim services) in combating the issue of sex trafficking.

Sex Trafficking Expansion Project (STEP) Team (by application only)

This team was formed in response to an award of the Domestic Victims of Human Trafficking (DVHT) grant. This grant focused on expanding services to those who are 18-25, and enhancing the services already in our system for those under the age of 18. This team consists of Multnomah County Department of Community Justice (DCJ) Crime Victim Services Unit (CVSU), Multnomah County Department of County Human Services (DCHS), Youth & Family Services Division (YFS), Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS), Gateway Teen Unit (GTU), Lifeworks NW, Raphael House of Portland, New Avenues for Youth (NAFY), and Call to Safety. The STEP team meets on the third Wednesday of every month.

If you have any interest in joining this team, please fill out an application.
