What is Workday Student?

Workday Student will be our new integrated student information system for class registration, grades, course scheduling and catalog, transcripts, class rosters, and student billing. It will give students a streamlined, user-friendly experience to best support their academic success.

What does Workday Student mean for me?

Faculty

• Review rosters, enrollments, and waitlists

• Enter and modify final grades

Students

• Plan your academic path and register for courses (add, drop, or swap classes)

• View your schedule, grades, and request transcripts

• Access schedule planner and financial aid details

• Pay your bill or request a refund

Staff

• Locate student information

• Review financial transactions and financial aid data

• Access student support details and monitor academic progress

Parents/Guardians

• View student payment accounts and pay bills

Project Timeline

Pre-Planning Phase, July 2024 - September 2024

Introductory meetings between Summit project team members and implementation consultants; learn about methodology and process.

Project Planning / Project Start, October 2024 - December 2024

Project team members meet with consultants, share information about current processes.

Architect & Configure, January 2025 - February 2026

Consultants and project team members begin iterative process of building the MHC instance of Workday Student.

Testing & Phased Training, March 2026 - October 2026

Project team members will test business scenarios in the new system; opportunities will be available for MHC community members to volunteer in the testing process. Training materials and sessions will be developed and offered to prepare the community.

Move to Production, November 2026 - September 2027

New system will be live in production; various functions will start being utilized by faculty, staff and students during the spring 2027 semester an fully in place for 2027-28 academic year. Training sessions for the community will continue to be offered through fall 2027.
