Ever listened to Lofi Girl's YouTube channel? This lab takes its inspiration from Lofi Girl and will have you producing music to get started with programming! You'll be using Georgia Tech's EarSketch platform, which has loads of music clips to unleash your creativity.
Open this lab document and keep it open during the lab -- it will be updated live!
You will use the skills from today's lab to create your own music technology project!
Requirements
Produce your own individual piece of music using EarSketch. Have fun with it!
Use the LoFi Generator to customize a “LoFi” character.
Use this to create a video with your LoFi character as the visual (or get even more creative!) and your music for the audio.
This converter may be helpful if you don’t have a background in video editing software.
On your web site, post your video and a reflection (3-4 paragraphs) on the project and how it relates to the topic of self-regulated learning. You can use these prompts to get started:
How was experience in lab? Working with a group?
Did you find your comfort level shift for:
the EarSketch development environment?
programming?
Did you notice yourself intentionally applying the self-regulated learning cycle of plan-do-evaluate?
What resources did you rely on during the development of your project?
Does this project's experience remind you of other moments in your academic journey where you are more/less strategic?
