What got you interested in science: Living in Uganda ( the hotspot for many known diseases) always piqued my interest in biomedical research. I wanted to know how all these diseases worked and how remedies are made to curb them. Also my High school chemistry tutor was amazing (Mr. David Little), He made me love chemistry!
In 5-10 years, I see myself: I will be in the process of finishing my MD/PhD program.
If I had a superpower, it would be: Maybe mind reading.
If I were an element, I would be: Iron
What got you interested in science? My high school environmental science class got me really interested in water and soil quality and made me realize that I had always had a deeper interest in those or related science topics, motivating me to pursue more science classes.
In 5-10 years, I see myself: Possibly pursuing a PhD or in a career with lots of field and/or experimental work.
If I had a superpower, it would be: speed-reading.
If I were an element, I would be: Chlorine, just because its symbol is the same as my initials.
What got you interested in science? My high school chemistry teacher, who helped demonstrate the elegance of the science! Thanks Mr. Johnson.
In 5-10 years, I see myself: I'm not sure... maybe working as a paramedic, maybe finishing my MD, maybe researching applications of chemistry to the field of forensics/criminology... or maybe something else!
My spirit animal is: Any of the bears who are part of 'Fat Bear Week'
If I were an element, I would be: Iodine
What got you interested in science? Growing up, I was always curious about the world around me and how things worked, so science was a natural path for me. A special shout out to my high school chemistry teacher, Viet Pham, who helped me learn how to power through and laugh even when something seems impossible.
In 5-10 years, I see myself: Probably pursuing a PhD.
If I had a superpower, it would be: teleportation.
If I were an element, I would be: Aluminum!
What got you interested in science? When I was a child, I feel like it is an cool thing to be a doctor to save people. And also, I am interested in doing experiments.

If I could travel anywhere, I would go to: Iceland.
If I were an element, I would be: Oxygen, because it's an essential element for people to live.
What got you interested in science? My 9th-grade bio teacher, who was very passionate about science and teaching. She taught me that science can be for everyone, and that every day is a new day to learn something new!
In 5-10 years, I see myself: Hopefully finishing up medical school, graduate school, or wherever else life takes me!
My spirit animal is: a koala.
If I were an element, I would be: Neon.
What got you interested in science? I have a lot of family members in the healthcare field, and I've always enjoyed asking them about interesting cases/patients that they had at work each day. I found that I loved learning about how the chemistry and biology I was taught in school was applied in medicine.
In 5-10 years, I see myself: Finishing a degree in a healthcare field.
