Student Affairs is committed to advancing the college’s mission by fostering the holistic development of Mount Aloysius College students. We provide accessible and inclusive programs and services that aid in academic success, student development, and campus community.

Residence Life

Finding Your Community
Residence Life staff strive to create a living environment which produces fun, educational, and memorable moments. We do this through empowering student leaders, giving students a platform to voice their concerns and needs, and providing opportunities to build a sense of “Mountie Pride.” Our aim is to help students feel like they have a place to belong as they begin a new, independent chapter in their lives.

Writing your story!
Residence Life staff recognize privilege and responsibility to be part of each student’s story and journey. Residence Life will create opportunities and provide resources so students may learn valuable life skills, and feel supported as they work to gain personal knowledge and professional skills through their academics.

Living the Mercy Values
Residence Life prides itself on being a service to all students, while also upholding Mount Aloysius’s Mercy values. Residence Life acts upon these values by helping all Mounties feel included, cared for, and safe. We also affirm the inclusion of all students regardless of age, ancestry, color, disability or handicap, national origin, race, religious creed, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, genetic information or veteran status.

Student Activities

Student leaders and workers (SGA and CAB) will be able to collaborate and see a project from start to finish in order to provide the best possible co-curricular experience for the entire student body. 

New and incoming students will be able to identify and interact with campus resources in order to be successful as they begin their time as new Mounties.

All students will be offered activities and events to engage in to further their college co curricular experience.

Student Health & Wellness

Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of one's health issues/conditions, including prevention approaches, self-care practices, and appropriate intervention and treatment when needed.

Students will be able to describe Health & Wellness programs and services offered, how to access them, and their value to their well-being.

The students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the medical requirements, criminal background requirements, and vaccine requirements of the college, clinical sites, and school placements.

Campus Safety

Campus safety will provide a safe environment for students and employees to live and learn.  

Students and employees will know what Campus Safety provides and how to access those services. The services will be offered in convenient and easily accessible location(s).  

Campus Safety will provide forums, including events, where students can interact with Campus Safety members. This proactive approach will immerse Campus Safety into the daily observations of our campus community. Campus Safety will provide students knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws along with campus policies.  

Mission Statement

The Mount Aloysius College Department of Campus Safety seeks to provide the college community with a safe environment in which instruction, learning, and recreational activities may take place for the benefit of students, faculty, staff, and visitors alike.
