2nd Internal Audit Cycle of Mindanao State University – General Santos was successfully conducted today, January 19, 2026. This internal audit marks another significant milestone in the University’s journey toward ISO certification.
QuAMSO extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this activity, our QA Focals who served as Lead Internal Auditors and dedicated their time and effort to ensuring that offices and colleges are compliant with ISO standards; the Heads of Offices for their openness to feedback aimed at streamlining and improving services; and our Top Management for their unwavering support in this quality assurance journey. Specifically, to our good University Chancellor, Atty. Shidik T. Abantas, whose commitment reflects a clear and purposeful direction for the University.
Asst. Prof. Reynald Alpajando led the University-Wide EOMS Orientation of Mindanao State University – General Santos via Zoom, underscoring the institution’s collective commitment to ISO 21001:2018 certification. The orientation aimed to familiarize university constituents with the university’s ISO journey, emphasizing that every individual plays a vital role in achieving and sustaining certification.
Mindanao State University–General Santos has successfully completed its Stage 1 Audit for ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organizations Management System, conducted from December 15 to 17, 2025, and has been recommended for Stage 2 Audit, marking a significant milestone in the university’s pursuit of international quality standards.
The QA Orientation continues with the Institute of Islamic, Arabic, and International Studies today, October 7, 2025. This orientation was attended by faculty and staff from their three departments: BA Islamic Studies, BA Islamic Studies major in Shariah, and BS International Relations. Throughout 2025, QuAMSO led and supported key initiatives that strengthened the university’s quality assurance framework, from the preparation and facilitation of AACCUP accreditations and CHED COPC applications, to active engagement in institutional planning, internal audits, and compliance monitoring. The office also laid vital groundwork for internationalization and global benchmarking initiatives, including ISO Certification. These accomplishments underscore Dr. Pelmin’s vision of collaborative governance and continuous improvement, affirming QuAMSO’s commitment to fostering excellence, streamlining processes, and ensuring the university’s continued advancement in national and international quality standards.
