This session's focus skills are: musculoskeletal ultrasound techniques, focusing on scanning of the shoulder, knee, and ankle.
Explain to a classmate how to use bedside ultrasound to evaluate musculoskeletal complaints (i.e. indications)
Distinguish the appearance of cartilage, bone, muscle, tendon, and bursae on ultrasound.
Practice using bedside ultrasound to review normal MSK anatomy.
Scan shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle.
Explain to a classmate the limitations of ultrasound for MSK imaging.
Correlate anatomy with interventional techniques (i.e. injections)
