Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Research Group
Medical students from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine team with ultrasound fellowship trained Emergency Medicine physicians to create a research group with the goal of advancing the field of point-of-care ultrasound through discovery and dissemination of novel ideas. The group is lead by Jordan Johnson, MD. Dr. Johnson is a faculty member with the Corewell Health/Emergency Care Specialists/MSU CHM Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship and serves as the rotation director for the MSU CHM Emergency Medicine Ultrasound elective.
This research group began in Spring 2019 with the help of MSU CHM alumna Sara Urquhart, MD. She helped pave the way of the group and create this unique opportunity for students to be a part of a program which facilitates mentorship and critical thinking in the field of point of care ultrasound.
For more information on the group or how to become a member, email the current student director at armst444@msu.edu.
