Technology has come a long way in foreign language education. With the internet, we now have access to people and resources all over the world, making it easier to see and use language in real time and in authentic situations. We can also use technology to practice skills, getting immediate feedback, or to assess our learners quickly and easily. With Google forms, we can create self-correcting assessments, or provide immediate feedback to practice work. Quizlet offers self-paced practice and tests. With edpuzzle, we can provide video clips and embed comprehension questions. Now, with a global pandemic, Zoom makes it possible to teach face-to-face and at a distance simultaneously.
