The MAFLT program offered several courses to learn and grow in my research of language and language education. Language variation is found in every language around the world. Since I focus on Spanish, I had a vast amount of variations to research from city to city and country to country. This research provided me with the knowledge of using multiple variations in my classroom. While having consistency in Spanish is important, including culture and language variation knowledge is valuable to learners. The program evaluation project allowed me to look into another school's Spanish curriculum, diving in on the strengths and weaknesses my colleague and I noticed from a series of interviews and extensive research. These two opportunities are included on my portfolio to broadcast my learnings in both courses and the knowledge gained from research.
