About me:

I am a recent graduate of Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi, having received my Bachelor of Education degree in 2022. I began my teaching journey in 2016 as a teacher aide and this year, I put on thick socks to fill bigger shoes in my new role as a kaiako.

I started working at Manurewa South School in 2018 as a teacher aide and made it a goal to start my teaching career at MSS because I have built professional and familial relationships within the staff and school community.  I feel extremely lucky that, as a first year teacher, I have had an amazing year and I know I could not have this feeling without the support of my friends and staff at MSS.

I enjoy teaching in the junior school because I am a bubbly and happy person with tons of positive energy.  These traits are important to have as a kaiako because sometimes some children need a little bit of a happy boost to help them start their day.  I am also happy to be a junior teacher because we get to watch and be proud of our students as they grow within the school.
