Students must be RCBC applicants to participate
Students must add RCBC to their college list in Naviance and let their Counselor know they wish to attend the information session.
Students who do not participate in the Spring Ahead Program must apply to RCBC, complete placement testing, meet with an advisor, and register for courses on their own.
Spring Placement Test (If Needed)
RCBC uses placement tests or transcript reviews to place students in appropriate English and Math courses for all entering students
Placement Exemptions & Requirements
Students who do not place into college level courses based on a transcript review, or by earning a set score on a standardized test, must take a placement exam for RCBC. An admissions counselor will contact you if you are required to take a placement test.
SAT Exemption: 450+ in English, 500+ in Math
ACT Exemption: 23+ in English, 20+ in Math
ASVAB: Combined score of 65+ can exempt you from both English and Math testing
Transcript Review (see chart below): Admissions reviews transcripts for placement based on GPA & coursework.
ALEKS Math: Students may be required to take ALEKS math placement test to determine the appropriate math level.
