If a student-athlete is planning to enroll in college as a freshman and wishes to participate in Division I or Division II athletics, a senior must be certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center (formerly NCAA Clearinghouse). The NCAA Eligibility Center was established as a separate organization by the NCAA member institutions in January 1993. The NCAA Eligibility Center ensures consistent interpretation of NCAA initial eligibility requirements for all prospective student-athletes at all member institutions.
Student-athletes who want to start the NCAA Eligibility Center process should complete the necessary forms as early as their junior year. It is recommended that students meet with their school counselor to obtain information and enroll.
Student-athletes can view information, approved courses, and the enrollment process via the online NCAA Eligibility Center.
All courses listed in this catalog fulfill State requirements. This is not true for NCAA requirements. Visit the online NCAA Eligibility Center for more information. Student-athletes can also speak with the coach, school counselor, or athletic director regarding any questions related to eligibility and enrollment.
