- El Consumismo - What is consumerism and what is our role as a consumer? Level II begins with talking about the world from a different perspective. What do we consume the most and how does that affect the world around us?
- El Medio Ambiente - Unit two is a 'spin-off' of sorts from the first consumerism unit by talking about the environment. In this unit, we discuss biodiversity and what it means for us. We look at environmental problems and their solutions. How can WE make the world a better place?
- Una Vida Sana - Healthy living, we all want to live a healthy lifestyle, but how do we achieve it? In this unit, we review some foods but also look deeper at what it means to live healthy beyond what we are eating. We also do some reflection on our own lifestyle and make plans for a healthier way of living.
- ¡Viajamos! - Let's take a trip! In this unit, we talk about traveling through an airport and going abroad. What are the steps to planning a trip including what we pack to go where and in which suitcase. Also, how do we navigate through an airport. We also take a trip (simulated of course) to Buenos Aires, Argentina to learn a little bit about their culture. Let's get ready to travel!
- Cuando era niño/a... - Unit 5 is really fun as we get to go down memory lane. In this unit, we talk about what we were like as a child and what we enjoyed doing. We get to relive all those childhood memories, but now in Spanish :) Students will also bring in a childhood photo of themselves to share with the class and we will guess who is who and see how much they've changed.
- Leemos una novela - To end Spanish II, we are going to read a novel. The novel is still to be determined but is promised to be culturally informative and really push those students wanting to move onto Level III. It will be challenging, but fun too as it is something new we haven't yet done. Happy reading :)
