1. Do we have a final in Spanish class?
YES! The final is a cumulative exam over all the material covered in class. Final assessments will cover all three modes of communication. The week of finals, we will take the interpersonal speaking and presentational writing final assessment. On finals day, we will take an interpretive assessment. All review will be posted on this website!
2. How will we be graded?
Your grade is broken down into two categories and weighted accordingly. 10% of your grade is class work. This is any homework collected, assignments on google classroom, vocab quizzes, and participation points. The other 90% of your grade is assessments. This category will include all interpersonal speaking, interpretive reading & listening, as well as presentational speaking & writing assessments. I know, it is a heavy weight on assessments. However, this is to ensure that your grade is truly reflective of your proficiency level in the Spanish language.

4. What can I do outside of class to get better with the language?
There are MANY things you can do outside of the classroom to improve your language skills. The more you use and are exposed to the language, the more comfortable you will feel using it! Immerse yourself in Spanish whenever you have a chance! Here are some easy ways to use the language:
5. What do I do when I am absent from class?
First and foremost, DO NOT ask me what you missed before class begins or during class time. This time is for us to learn Spanish together as a class, not to have a one-on-one meeting regarding any missed materials.
I post all presentations, handouts, and homework assignments at the end of the day on Google Classroom. Check there if you are absent from class and before talking to me. If you know you are going to be absent ahead of time, let me know so I can get you the materials and/or handouts you will be missing if possible.
