La Señora

Hi! I am Señora (Jayme) Bajer. It is my honor to work with your children in their Spanish education. I am a Mahomet graduate myself and have lived here most all my life, so I am very familiar with the area and proud of the education Mahomet-Seymour offers.

Spanish was something I always enjoyed throughout my education & am very passionate about sharing with others! I began taking Spanish in 7th grade and continued all the way through college. I graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science in Spanish Education. During my college education, I had the opportunity to travel abroad to Madrid, Spain and study at the Universidad de Nebrija in Madrid. Studying abroad is an excellent opportunity to truly immerse yourself in the language & culture. It's really the best way to learn and I would recommend it to any student! After graduating in 2010, I taught Spanish at Anna-Jonesboro High School in southern Illinois for two years before moving back to Mahomet. This is my fourth year at Mahomet-Seymour High School. My husband also teaches in the district as the vocational coordinator and JV baseball coach. We have two daughters, Olivia (2) and Emilia (1) who keep us keep us busy and bless us with the opportunity to look at life both through the innocent perspective of a child and as a parent.
