Blue Devils,

Please be aware of an important shift in the timeline for our literacy pilot program. This adjustment is necessary following a review of data from recent Superintendent pulse checks that indicated a need to modify our approach to pilot implementation.

In response to the feedback we will be revising policy IF to accommodate this new expectation. Our goal is to move forward thoughtfully and effectively, and we believe this adjustment will allow us to do so.

We are committed to a thorough rubric process to select just one program to pilot next year. To ensure a transparent and equitable selection, we are introducing the attached rubric and form. Please use these documents to evaluate potential literacy programs.  At the ECC, please contact Stephanie Sausele for access to the initial materials.  At the ELE, please contact Courtney Mueller.  Digital access to all resources can be found on our curriculum cycle website.

Due to the upcoming math implementation, the earliest date for training and deployment for the literacy pilot (as of today 4/23/25) will be during the professional development day on September 26th.  Things may change as the plans for back to school in August are finalized.

Please review the attached rubric and submit your completed forms by noon on May 16th.
