We're excited to get started on selecting new Literacy resources for the upcoming school year!
A big thank you to those who responded to the Google Survey and expressed interest in being part of this process.
As outlined in the CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) and policy IF and its accompanying administrative procedure, a committee will be formed to write curriculum and identify resources. This committee will include:
A principal or assistant principal from each building
A teaching and learning coach (or equivalent role)
1-2 Union-appointed teacher representatives (they have been notified and will be letting me know of any additions/edits)
Our first meeting is scheduled for January 16th. We'll discuss the resource adoption process and the steps outlined in the board policy and procedure. I'll ensure everything is organized to maximize our time and work towards piloting new resources by the start of the school year.
