MATH:
This weekend students have homework. They are making numbers 10, 100, and 1,000 times larger. Their homework sheet is due on Monday. They had study hall time to work and get their questions answered if they had them. Some may still be bringing the home. When they are asked to multiply a whole number by a power of 10, it looks like this: 30 x 700 = 21,000 or 21 x 10 to the third power
On Monday we will continue to multiply one digit and two digit numbers. PLEASE REVIEW THIS SKILL AT HOME! Students are struggling to remember this skill from 4th grade.
In Unit Studies, we will be focusing on one subject area at a time. We will be starting with social studies. In social studies, we will be focusing on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Monday, 8/24: Curriculum Night. All 5th grade teachers will present together in Mrs. Wilds' room.
