Welcome to 5th grade! I am excited for a great year. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Missy Everts. This is my 28th year of teaching. I graduated from Concordia College in St. Paul, MN with a degree in Elementary Education. I got my Master's Degree from UNO while doing the CADRE program. I started out teaching 2nd grade, which I did for one year. I also taught 4th grade for a year when we had a bubble class at Willowdale. The remainder of my teaching career has been in 5th grade. Fifth grade is where my heart is! I love all the things that 5th graders can do, plus their sense of humor makes each day fun and interesting!
I am not married, but family is very important to me. I have an older sister and a younger sister. My mom and dad and my sisters all live in Omaha so we get together as often as possible. I also have 1 nephew (Alex) and 4 nieces (Payton, Avril, Maddie, and Emerson). I enjoy going to all their events and games!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy running, playing volleyball, basketball, and any sport that will get me outside. Sports were a big part of my life growing up, and still are a big part of my adult life. I love watching and cheering for the Huskers and Creighton.
I feel very lucky that I get to teach at Willowdale. Willowdale is an amazing school with great students, parents, and staff. I look forward to a wonderful year!
