A message from Mr. Wunderlich & Wheeler Staff

Wheeler Community,

Fall is here! We are enjoying this weather as we have jumped into the 2nd quarter of the school year! Please remember to send jackets, sweatshirts, or coats with students as our mornings are chilly for arrival and morning recess. We want to keep kids as healthy as possible!

You will see several important notes in this edition of the Growler: details on our United Way Donation Drive & Spirit Wear Week, information on Lost & Found items being donated at the end of the month, information on Spirit Wear options and more.

You should also see that your child comes home today with their First Quarter Report Card in their backpacks today. While we know parent teacher conferences just came recently, do not hesitate to contact your teacher for clarifying questions.

note: we know many families are getting those costumes ready for halloween! Please be mindful to have students in school approproiate costumes that are not gory and overly scary. Please absolutely no fake weapons of anykind. Thank you for understanding!

IMPORTANT: LOST AND FOUND will be bagged up October 28th and donated to Heartland Hope Mission.

We have been making announcements to students on Morning Announcements, pulled out the racks during Conferences, and will continue to send notes out prior to this deadline. Admin team goes through it daily and returns anything with a name on back to students. Additionally, we will lay out ALL items in the front hall and have students walk by as the pick-up date approaches.

October's Littles' Storytime

1:15-1:45 - set up for the parties

1:45-2:30 - FALL PARTIES!

**Students not able to participate will have other activities not related to fall parties with Mrs. Taylor during this time!

2:35 - Get Ready for the Parade

2:40-3:15 - The Parade! See the Map Below - Spectators will not be allowed in the building. If the weather is inclement, we will do the parade indoors and notify the community of the change. It will be our wish and desire to do the parade outdoors!

You will be asked to share your First & Last Name and the reason for your visit. You will only be allowed access into the office with our new vestibule.
Please have your ID ready to share with office staff for verification
Someone else picking up? Please call the office to notify and that adult will have to show ID to confirm who we are releasing student to.

Lunch Visitors:

We are excited to have parents/guardians join us for lunch this school year after Labor Day!

Thank you in advance for your cooperation on this so that we can allow students to practice lunch routines with their classmates at the beginning of the year.

First Grade: 11:35-11:55

Second Grade: 12:30-12:50

Third Grade: 11:30-11:50

Fourth Grade: 12:35-12:55

Jingle is an evening filled with holiday experiences, cocktails, delicious food bites, and an amazing silent auction of 36 unique wreaths decorated by our schools.

The Millard Public Schools Foundation supports the district by providing funds to all 35 schools to support strategic initiatives, connects Millard graduating seniors with over $160,000 in scholarship funding and helps our own Millard families in need.
