March: All 9th grade students will be introduced to the Personal Project and given the guidelines. Some students will work on choosing their topics over the summer break.
Grade 10:
Throughout the school year: All 10th grade MYP students meet with Personal Project Supervisors each Monday during Mustang Time homeroom.
August-September: Choose a topic and conduct initial research. Learn about ATL skills related to planning.
October-December: Develop a detailed plan, including goals, timelines, and success criteria. Create a specific learning goal and product for your Personal Project. Learn more about the ATL skills and reference them when recording action and reflection.
December-February: Begin implementing your plan and documenting your progress. Be sure to record your use of ATL skills throughout your implementation process. Make your learning visible by taking video, still photos, and recording your planning, progress, and reflection in your journal.
February-March: Write or record your Personal Project Report. Reflect on your experiences and prepare for the final presentation.Â
April: Present your Personal Project at the MNHS IB Showcase.
