MNHS assigns one supervisor for every 25-30 MYP students completing the Personal Project. Students meet with supervisors every Monday during homeroom for 20 minutes to learn planning strategies, ATL skills, and how to organize the final Personal Project report. Students are given short assignments over research, various ATL skills, and reflection skills to complete in their Personal Project journals each week, which they may choose to use in their final Personal Project reports. These assignments also serve as checkpoints for supervisors to see that students are making adequate progress on their Personal Projects. Supervisors rely heavily on Google Classroom to communicate with students and email to communicate with parents and guardians.Â
