Check out the castles built by our fourth graders! As part of our unit on Empires of the Middle Ages, students learned about the castles lived in by royalty and nobility. They learned castles were typically cold, dark, and gloomy places built mainly for the purpose of protection of its inhabitants. Fourth graders took their jobs as Middle Age mason workers very seriously! See if you can spot the following features of the "Middle Age" castles below: towers, curtain walls, the keep, battlements, spires, great halls, drawbridges, portcullises, moats, arrow slits.
