We love to support our athletic teams and clubs at Red Mountain. We show our support by decorating their locker rooms before a a big game or event. We also create and hang posters around the school with encouraging words of support, give them some treats, and write cards to wish them luck and let them know that Student Council supports them!
In an effort to reach out to feeder schools we gladly participated in the "Adopt a Family" that was organized by NHS. Our council members collected supplies and necessities for families in need. Then council members delivered the collected supplies to the chosen feeder schools.
We work hard to improve facilities around our campus. For our senior gift, we chose to make improvements to the school's amphitheater. We added turf, painted the Red Mountain logo in the center, put new landscaping in around it, and added more steps to make it easier to walk through.
To demonstrate awareness about drugs and alcohol we invited our school officer, Officer Harris to come into our class and speak about drug and alcohol abuse. He explained the negative effects of harmful drugs and how they affect our bodies. He explained the issues they have run into with these substances in student possession at school and what we can do to help!
