Team Sports

Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and maintain a health-enhancing level of fitness. Be part of the team and increase physical health, self esteem, and motivation.

The focus will be on increasing knowledge, developing skills, participating, and competing in a variety of team sports. Students will participate in a variety of games that will allow students to enhance teamwork and team building skills. Specific sport skill development in various sports and lifetime leisure activities will be integrated into daily activities. Students will participate in activities that allow them to improve their individual skill sets, as well as increase their overall knowledge of the sport. Students will be engaged, have fun, and compete in the daily activities and games. Students will also participate in weight training, agility, and cardiovascular development activities. Workout activities are designed to help students understand the value these activities have on lifelong health and skill development. *units are subject to change based on resources and equipment availability. Units include; but not limited to volleyball, ultimate frisbee and football, handball, soccer, floor hockey, basketball, softball/baseball. Activities will be performed both indoors and outdoors.
