Visual Arts

Decoding Visual Messages and participating in the Art world around you.

As creative beings, we are all artists that need the opportunity to practice and increase our Visual Intelligence. An emphasis on Creativity and imagination will open our minds to solving visual problems.

These courses will provide you with knowledge for Art development and creation. We will start by refreshing ourselves with the Art Elements that include: Line, Shape, Form, Value, Texture, and Space. Each Art Project will develop one or more of the Elements including the Design Principles in order to better understand the role of art in contemporary society, as well as context within Art History. As a developing artist you will learn about perceiving, decoding, and participating in the visual culture around you.
