Welcome Back Jefferson Students and Families!
I hope you enjoyed your summer break. I just want you all to know that over the summer months you were truly missed and I can't wait for school to begin this fall. On Tuesday, September 8th, we will be returning to school online in distance learning. With distance learning being the model that our school district will begin with., it is important that we continue to have routines and schedules in place. This will make it easier for you to stay on track and learn. Please use the links found on this webpage to find what you need to access Google Classrooms and Websites.

9:00 am Daily- By 9:00 am daily, all 5th and 6th Graders should be logged into their technology devices and prepared for a day full of distance learning.

9:00 am - Advisory- This is Advisory time for all 5th and 6th Grade students. Room 316 5th Graders will join Room 316's Advisory Class daily on Google Meet. Advisory will include: Morning Greetings/Share Outs/Morning Message/Activities/Closing Greeting. The Google Classroom Codes are listed below.
Our Distance Learning Days will be from 9:00-3:30 -Students are always welcome to reach out and do work outside of these times. Each teacher will be online and available for questions from 9:00-12:00 pm and 1:30-3:30 pm.

6th Grade Minnesota Studies students will access their Northern Lights e-Book text by logging into Google Chrome and following the instructions below:
1st-Log into your Google Chrome Browser
2nd-Type: nl.mnhs.org
3rd-Type Username: Minneapolis
4th-Type Password: Treaty15!
Once you login, you will see the Northern Lights e-Book online. To access each assigned chapter, glossary (with definitions of all bold/highlighted words in the text), and maps, you have to click on the typed words below each chapter or page. The entire e-Book has audio access. All of the information can be read to you if you click the audio buttons next to each passage, picture, or caption. The page numbers are set-up by the chapter number first and the page number second (Example: 3.01, which means Chapter 3, Page 1)
Once you’re logged in, you will see:
• Northern Lights e-Book with unit chapters
• Glossary
• Maps
• Etc.
(Abbreviation for the word Etcetera (noun) meaning a number of unspecified (unnamed) additional things)
