We have stackable certificates that allow you to fill your resume on your way to earning your transfer or local business degree. They allow you to land internships, show employers your coursework professionally, and enter the professional world before you finish your degree. We also have a noncredit option for students looking to start a small business and not earn college units. Courses are free, pass / no pass, and are the same courses that degree seeking students are taking alongside noncredit students.
This course is custom created for each student. It is offered in the fall, spring, and summer at MPC with me. To enroll in this course you need to meet with me and discuss your job, internship, or volunteer experience. Follow the above link to learn more about the course and schedule your appointment through an online calendar. If you need help with placement we can provide support through our work-based learning coordinator or job center. I can help connect you and get you on your way to filling your resume with valuable work experience.

A community college alumna myself, I graduated from Delaware Technical Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration/Customer Service Management. I transferred straight to Wilmington University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. After working in the telecommunications industry and nonprofit I decided to return for my Masters in Business Education at Ball State University. I found a professional home at MPC as a Business and Work Experience Instructor.
With encouragement and support from my colleagues at MPC I decided to pursue my Doctorate in Education with a focus on Leadership and Innovation at New York University. My dissertation focused on increasing Latinx enrollment in Work Experience Education.
In my spare time I run a multi-level Girl Scout Troop in Carmel, have been the leader of the Carmel High School Business Club, and I volunteer with the United Way Monterey County VITA program, preparing taxes alongside MPC business students.
We are so excited you're here! Welcome to
