Specially Designed Instruction

Specially designed instruction (SDI) adapts  content, methodology, and/or delivery of instruction to address the unique needs of student.  It can be a service or a support and is unique to the student.  It can occur in any setting and should, to the maximum extent appropriate, be with peer in the general education setting.  SDI is typically delivered by the special educator or related service provider but may be delivered by another educator or provider based on theneeds of the child.
